An Empey Canvas
Portfolio
“Life in itself is an empty canvas, it becomes whatsoever you paint on it. You can paint misery, you can paint bliss. This freedom is your glory.”
In August 2020, with a few cheap acrylic paints, some blank canvases and a bottle of Floetrol, An Empey Canvas was born in my basement in Madison, WI.
Acrylic fluid art is very versatile, and with much experimentation I’ve learned many different techniques to create different styles of paintings.
My vibes are colorful and bright, often incorporating elements of nature, especially the sky and water.
Over the years, I’ve expanded my art to live on surfaces other than canvas, including wood, glass, ceramic, and even walls.
